Hoy se celebran los Premios American Music Awards que, a diferencia de los Latin Grammy que destacan la calidad de los artistas, estos homenajean a los más popualres, que son elegidos por la gente a través de una encuesta que se encuentra en el portal y las redes sociales de American Music Awards.
La ceremonia será transmitirá en vivo desde el Microsoft Theater de Los Ángeles. El rapero canadiense Drake parte como máximo favorito con 13 nominaciones, seguido por Rihanna, con siete candidaturas, y Justin Bieber, con cinco.
El premio más importante del evento, el de Artista del Año en el que se encuentran como candidatos Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Drake, Selena Gómez, Ariana Grande, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots, Carrie Underwood y The Weeknd.
